WHAT IS THE WELSH REGIONAL BRASS BAND CHAMPIONSHIPS?
The Welsh Regional Brass Band Championships is an annual brass band competition held every March, and is one of eight regional qualifying competitions for the Finals of the National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain. Approximately 40 bands, across five sections, compete to be crowned the National Champion Band of Wales in their respective section.

The Championship Section of the Welsh "Regionals" also acts as the qualifying competition for the European Brass Band Championships the following year. 2019 saw Tredegar Town Band win the Championship Section of the Welsh "Regionals", therefore gaining an invitation to represent Wales at the 2020 European Brass Band Championships in Palanga (Lithuania).
